The rule is that everyone adjusting status that did not go through an interview with USCIS already, will be interviewed. Some cases that were already interviewed will be chosen randomly to be interviewed again.

Yeah I know. Although our interview was not necessarily “waived”. The interview was going to be March 18,2020. Well, that was a few days after the OMS declared the pandemic. So they called us the day before (we were literally packing the car and were going to spend the night in a hotel close to the FO). We had everything ready. About two weeks later we received a letter from the FO with a request for evidence (no notification online). So basically they were asking us to send whatever we were going to show at the interview.
So in a way it was not waived… I don’t know. My husband and I love each other and we’re ready for as many interviews as they want…

Wow. Then I guess you where not MCS

It is not because of the processing center. It's because OP either had a K1 or adjusted status within the US, so they already had an interview. @adipo21 please correct me if I'm wrong?

Yes. If you didn't go through Adjustment of Status you will either have MSC like our case or something else. All MSC are required to go in for interview based on my observation except on very rare cases that interview for MSC are waived. In other words, if you went through adjustment of status the is a high chance of you not having interview.

I wonder what they will do with my case. They cancelled our interview (AOS) because of COVID, but made us send all the documents. So it was/ was not waived. Maybe we will have a ROC interview. I'm not at all worried. I am just preparing my package as best as I can!

I don't think you should be worried. You are right, Prepare as normal. What are your first three letters? Mine is MSC.

Definitely prepare but what I can say with this never ending covid stuff there trying to avoid interview unless it's necessary.
