Pending AOS, domestic air travel within USA with foreign passport onlyq

Hello, 

 

my husband doesn't have US driver license ye and we have my company's holiday party. 
My thoughts are he can still travel within US with a valid foreign passport even though he's in the pending status, waiting on EAD and Green Card(we just submitted the paperwork in October and got married in September). I'm reaching out to double check if he should be okay traveling?(we plan on bringing all the paperwork:marriage license, Notices from USCIS along).

yes, he can use is foreign passport to travel domestically.
