Q: if I file joint tax return with my husband, is he required to be a sponsor for my mom's GC and file I864A even though my own income is sufficient to be a sole sponsor?

I submitted the required documents on 10/22/21 but now I am nervous that I may not have the right documents. My income alone is sufficient to be a sponsor for my mom's GC so I submitted my tax transcript for 2020, and I864ez as required, along with 2020 W2, 2019 and 2018 tax transcript for additional AOS.  However, I now heard from some people that because I file joint taxes with my husband, he must be a co-sponsor and sign I864A. Is that true? If that is true, should I get the I864A filed before I get reviewed (hopefully in two weeks) or wait till after they review and tell me that I for sure need those documents? Hopefully that doesn't reset the queue for me?

Docs submitted Oct 9, DQ on Jan 11th.

I am still awaiting interview at my local embassy (Singapore).

May I know any of you on here who have been DQ'ed and managed to receive interview instructions from your embassy?
If so what embassy is it?

TIA!

You'll probably have more luck asking about the queue for DQ to interview at the Singapore embassy in the East Asia sub-forum (link below). The queue for interview slots vary depending on the embassy, some are working to a queue of over a year long, others have started to catch up and are current.

Did you guys send application for CR1? Mine is IR5, petition for parent and haven't heard anything yet (initial doc submission Oct,4). I attempted to call them yesterday but they don't connect to a live person; sent inquiry instead. Not too sure how soon I'll get a response from them, they are quiet slow at responding.

CR1/IR1 and IR5 have the same timelines as they are actual and don't have to wait for visa numbers.

Call NVC first thing in the am or late at night and you'll get through to a live agent
