Waiting on I-131. Travel date in under a month

My I-131 Application for Travel Document was received and notice of receipt sent on April 28. I plan to travel overseas on Dec 22 (have purchased ticket) but still don't have my I-131 back almost 8 months later. Is there anything I can do?

The automated phone line just tries to disconnect me and I've not been able to speak to an actual human. Does  anyone have suggestions on getting this expedited, refilng or what? Any suggestions?

I indicated December travel on form initially, boy do I regret that.

There’s nothing you can do but wait. Expediting is for emergency situations.

Putting a date, even one that is a month away for example, has little to no effect on how fast they adjudicate. APs have been taking 8+ months lately.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do.  This is one of the major drawbacks of adjusting status in the US.

If putting an earlier date on the I-131 would cause USCIS to process it faster, then everyone would be doing this.  Your desire to travel by a certain date is not relevant to the processing of the I-131.

I wouldn't count on having it by that date.  Hopefully your flights can be rebooked for free.

You could go to a USCIS office/make an infopass appointment and see if they can do anything for you
