Actually it's 20 deaths due to training accidents in fiscal year 2021: https://www.military.com/daily-news/2021/11/12/top-killer-of-soldiers-army-vehicle-deaths-tied-poor-training-though-numbers-are-down.html FY ends at the end of September.

And the "four whole deaths" due to COVID were in November 2020 (I read Nature Boy's link). There were 11 deaths from COVID in just August 2021, and another at the beginning of September the article says.

All of these deaths are equally sad and probably avoidable, whether by accident or infection. I don't know that there is any point scoring here where one cause of death "wins" over another.

Fear mongering.  The only thing the left has left in their arsenal.

Ermagherd, FOUR WHOLE DEATHS!!!

Meanwhile, 39 troops died in training accidents.

So zero was incorrect?

How many vaccinated service members have died of covid this year?

Hint it's the same number you claimed died from covid last year.

Glad you think 4 dead people is trivial

I haven't wanted to comment about the earlier thought that people who get their children vaxxed are criminally negligent and mentally ill, but I've had it rolling in my mind since I read it. I'm a stepmum to an eight year old who isn't eligible yet where she lives in England. Her four parents and step-parents have taken the time to speak with her GP and allergist over there, as well as speaking with medical professionals over here about the risks to children in getting vaxxed over getting COVID. Every single one of them supported -- even urged -- vaccination. Not only that, our little girl can't wait to get vaxxed. She worries about giving it to her mum's parents, who are in a high risk group.

It's really, really offensive to say people who have made careful consideration of the risks and benefits with the consultation of trained professionals are mentally ill and criminally negligent. I wouldn't say the same about people who disagree with me and the choices our family is making, even if I strongly disagree with their decisions.

If you are referring to my comment that is not at all what I said. I was referring to government officials and healthcare workers who are pushing well meaning but misinformed parents (presumably such as yourself) to give their young children the covid shot when the benefit doesn't even come close to outweighing the risk. The ones that my comment really applies to are the officials who are trying to mandate the shot for children.

Oh look, the resident reporter has spoken.  Nice how you quote ARMY training deaths.  But I said MILITARY training deaths.  Try again.

I have lost more friends to training deaths than you have years on this planet. Do not try to educate me on the matter.

Not sure how old Yunna is, but guessing at least 40 is.h. Let's say she is 45. If you have lost 45 friends to training accidents and 5 friends to reactions to the covid vaccine, all I can conclude is that statically it's very bad luck to be your friend

What is a Yunna?

Yuna is a poster her who I mixed up with sweet pea cause she changed her avatar.

Considering it was Laylalex and not Yuna it does drop the number considerably

So when you said 39 troops (you didn't use the term military)

you meant to say Airmen, Troops (soldiers), Seamen and Marines

It's not important or material, hey call a Marines troops or soldiers if you want a fist fight.

just pointing out that laylalex did bring the data that aligned to your statement.

You seem to know a lot about military terms.  How many years did you serve your country?

(TROOPS is not only for army soldiers)

But at least you got some support for your post.  That's worth something.

So even after vaxxed she can still spread it, so does she understand that getting the vaccine will not change that?

Being serious.  Has that ever been in question.  It's pretty basic science.  If the  Virus can live outside of a host then of course a vaccinated person could spread it.

Here is where the science gets a little tricky

A vaccinated person is less likely to spread it for a longer period of time.

If you are citing the Lancet article,

It will change the rate of transmission substantially from 38% to 25% as I read it. And according 8to the study, possibly more but they didn't have the data.. That is significant enough to say yes, it will change the chance that we transmit the virus to someone we love. Who is opposed to  that?

Doesn’t change it to zero now does it?  If we quibble with studies and stats, why would anyone put an experimental vaccine for COVID in a child?

Who's quibbling? Take the vaccine, reduce the risk of passing the virus on , or not, the choice is yours.
