Good evening,

can those serving in the armed forces file a green card application for their parents ? If so, is that a potentially expedited process ?

i apologize for asking what seems a googlble question, but I am a bit lost.

There is no special treatment for the parents of members of the military.  Subject to the same rules as everyone else.

There is no expediting your parent's petition. The process goes through normal timelines.

Not necessarily true but not in the way OP is asking.

How do you mean?

I stand by what I said.  For US immigration, there is no special treatment (expedites or other) for parents of military members.

I’m going to imagine OP’s parents are from a first world country and of good health, in that situation, you’re right.

There are programs in place though to make it easier for service members to emigrate family members and USCIS tends to approve expedite requests submitted by service members fairly quickly too, especially if there’s someone from your COC endorsing it, which is easy to do. I’ve met a lot of service members who have expedited family members with little to no effort under the estimated time needed. Happens a lot you just need to be in the military to see it (and in that circle). Your installation  USCIS liaison will tell you this to your face (@OP) and they’re a better source than this forum tbh

Refer back to my unanswered question on this thread.  There is definitely special treatment in one situation.
