Well you'd wait at least till they are reviewing past the day you submitted your documents and probably a week longer.

Hello,

I submitted some add'l documents they required on Aug 30, 2021. But haven't heard anything yet from NVC. How long should I wait before calling them? Currently website says they are reviewing Aug 25, 2021.

A month?  Two months?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thanks for the responses. They asked for add'l documents (i.e. income sources) and I submitted W-2s and paystubs. Back in 2019, I submitted a 1099-MISC but did not submit 1099 for 2020 although I did have some 1099 income in 2020.

Should I submit 1099? My case still hasn't been reviewed. If I add additional documents now, will my case be backlogged or what?

i would submit the 1099, we are seeing people getting asked for all W2 and 1099 for their current tax return, if you have a 1099 and have not submitted it I would submit it; whether this moves you back to the end of the queue is a little grey. Generally speaking the NVC have stated that each time you submit, it changes your submittal date and you go back to the end of the queue. But we have anecdotal reports on here of about 3/4 people who say they have submitted additional documents BEFORE being reviewed and their original submittal date is retained and they get review based on that.
