ok......i was caught up reading and responding to other threads i forgot why officially came on here tonight..

i have not seen my girl since summer of 2019

she is asking questions about canada.....and being an ofw there and making it easier to go visit her

i know she would have limited time as she would be an employee a few days here and there if im lucky

but my question is.....do any of the recruiters offer 6 month contracts in case my number comes up for interview/med exam? and if it does will they give a grace period for when she returns? (hence why i am inquiring about shorter contracts)

will an OFW visa affect my K-1?

are there any OFW recruiters placing people in USA? (if so thats even easier to visit) (would k-1 interview and medical be done here?)

and is there any legal ramifications for her quitting an agency? (as i would ask her to quit as soon as we get past the k-1 stuff)

and how long would it take her from time she accepts to time she arrives in canada? (i am told they are alot speedier and effecient than usa immigration)

thanks

The Canadian system is very different to the US, and I certainly do not know enough about their work visa's but most are points dependent, you need a lot to qualify.

There undoubtedly recruiters in the US who look outside the US for talent, obviously depends on her skill set qualifications.

Most of the US is at will as far as employment is concerned, not sure about Canada but seriously doubt you could be held to a long contract.

Far too many variables to know what a timeline for a Canadian work visa would be,  something she should discuss with her prospective Employer.
