UPDATE: Received an email yesterday from my State Representative, with Subject Title "Good News". She was able to contact the Embassy and spoke to them about reviewing the case again. And, they concluded that, they found the wet stamp on the back to be sufficient to proceed with the case. My fiance's case has been approved for printing and she should receive her passport with visa, in the upcoming weeks. When I informed my fiance' at first, she didn't believe me. hahaha But I showed her the email and convinced her it was real and we went crazy happy! If you are having any issues with your visa journey, don't be afraid to contact your State Representative. (Senator and/or House Representative) they really want to help you. Thank you, everyone for all the information and support, Randy and Erika

That is great news! Congratulations~

Just out of curiosity, who is your state representative? I’m from Los Angeles and I would like to know who I should contact in the future should I have an issue. My congressman is Adam Schiff

Yes, the fastest way to get a case reviewed more closely is to contact a representative immediately once the 221(g) is received.  The consulate is required to respond in some capacity within three business days, and most take the response seriously when it's something specific, like your case.  Congrats on getting it done quickly.

I live in the Phoenix area of Arizona and my representative is Debbie Lesko. She appointed a case worker for me who had connections in Colombia, where my fiance' lives and where the US Embassy we attended for the interview, is. They are remarkable people. They really wanted to help. Definitely, restored my confidence in my representatives :)

I had contacted my Representative last July, to see if they could help with the long delay. We had gone almost a year without hearing anything from the NVC, though I knew they had the petition and it was approved. But, couldn't get any information from the Embassy as to what was going on, or if they were even accepting K1 interviews. But, after talking to the person handling my case, she said she, just happened to be going to Bogota for the week to visit her parents and she'd see if anyone could tell her anything. Miraculously, in two weeks, we received notice that the NVC had sent our petition/package to the Embassy and they'd get in touch with us, soon. I told the case worker the good news, which I'm sure she already knew, and she said it could take another 4 months to hear from the Embassy. Again a week and a half later, we got the email from the Embassy to proceed. These reps never want to promise anything or get your hopes up, but they sure can make things happen! haha

Excellent!  At work, I'm one of three, but the other two are Ericka and Erica.....    I swear those spellings sound different to my ear.
