Ticket vs Boarding Pass - Which one to upload? (Printed boarding pass was torn)

I have a boarding pass for a ferry that I printed (it was sent to my email along with the invoice). At the boarding gate, they took the boarding pass and tore a section and gave it back to me.

Should I upload the original boarding pass I received in the email OR the torn boarding pass?

Also for my wife's travel, she has both plane ticket and boarding pass. I'm assuming only the boarding pass is needed.

Plane ticket.  I haven't seen a paper plane ticket in years.  Not even sure what you might be referring to.  The boarding pass is the actual evidence of air travel.  For the ferry, the pass you got in the email is not evidence of travel, but the torn pass is.
