On "myuscis" notice on website it says if I don't get a notice by 2 weeks after approval date to reach out to USCIS. I tried to search in other topics regarding NVC welcome letter and I read some conflicting information. Is there delays/backlogs in steps after approval from USCIS? Is 2 weeks too soon for a notice? Someone wrote they never got a letter and received case number only after they inquired via emailed to NVC.

It takes some time for USCIS to send the case over to NVC and then it takes NVC  some time too to create a case and process it. So it’s definitely gonna take more then two weeks until you will receive the letter from NVC through email. I think it’s now taking like 2 months. But people usually send an inquiry to NVC after 30 days to see if they received the case from USCIS.

Thank you. I figured as much. I just thought it was weird that they placed a date so soon on the notice on website.

The results are generated to present updates activity by case number # WAC22900XXXXX in groups of 500.

 

For example: your case number is WAC22900XXXXX23456, then you are in the group of 23000.
