Is there any recourse if your advance parole is denied by CBP officer in your home country returning to the states? Like through consulate etc. or is that the end of getting back in?

CBP officers generally  aren’t in a home country except at preclearance stations which are technical ports of entry.

If denied at a port of entry, the AP holder has no immediate recourse though if held at the port for an extended period, the holder’s embassy personnel have a right to see the holder.

I’ve never heard of an AP being denied entry. Did this happen to you?

The AP holder can ask for the case to move to consular processing and apply for an immigration visa.

Well I would be flying back from Dublin, Ireland which has the preclearance station there. I have not been denied entry but have never used AP before. Flying home for Christmas and worried about it. I have my new passport and my old one which has my original visa and entry stamp. Looking for as much info as possible. Thanks!

My wife used AP from Abu Dhabi which has CBP preference and it was her easiest use of AP.  No secondary. She was asked where her husband was.  Luckily her husband was on a different flight coming back home from the same origin.  So no problem.

Note that even US citizens can be denied entry at preclearance stations.
