So, Hotair, which I do usually read wrote an article based off of a small clip from Inside Edition that has no context. The problem with the clip is that it makes a claim that a lot of stores are doing this, but not actually pointing out where or what the stores are. One of the stores is clearly Walmart. As for the cardboard sheet cutout thing this was noted several months ago, but not stateside. It's a UK thing, which has a great deal to do with Brexit. I mean I shop every week, sometimes in multiple states, and I've seen the stores stressed to the limit and out of supply... and things seem to be better here at least. Walmart often does the rows of items as placeholders for other stock coming in - such as waiting for the xmas shipping containers (the parking lot fills up with those right before Halloween). After xmas the rows are usually filled with rubbermaid boxes and coolers. That being said, I can say that Walmart is having a problem on low supplies, and I've even noted them selling some items that seem to have sea water damage. It does depend on what you're looking for though.

I have seen plenty of empty shelves of things like TP, pasta, deli meat, frozen food, and now rice. But I can go to another store and the supply is just fine (even the turkey was overflowing). It seems like you need to be careful with dairy though, as I've seen expired items still sitting there. We've also found that some clearly imported items are still coming in from Europe without much issue. The big box club store supply has also stabilized. And based on what I'm seeing... people are shopping like crazy. We've tried to do a little xmas shopping after work because the weekend traffic has been a nightmare and it is still bad... like black Friday bad.

Does everyone want their publications to be an echo chamber? Or do you want a diverse range of opinions both conservative, liberal, libertarian, or moderate? Seems to me Hot Air has always been a little more reasonable in that regard compared to the rest in the brand. But I've been following HA since it started... just wish some of the opinions could actually do a little journalistic research before complaining.. else it just comes off as whining for the sake of whining.

There's plenty of liberal all over the place/in our face.

Allahpundit seems to research well, and he's certainly a good writer.

Agree that Hotair is interestingly different.

I often like to see who can best express what I'm already thinking.
