Should I be worried or is there anything else I should be doing?

 sorry if this is normal , just don't want to find out we've been waiting when we didn't have to.

Many thanks

Hmmm.... a virgin I129f LOL. When in doubt, call them. It should then show up as a touch when they pull it to nswer any question you may have about it. I don't really see it as a problem but I don't think it would be abnormal for them to check it when you call. Just my opinion.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

Is normal, can stay that way for up to and beyond 6 months. They tend to process petitions in the order they are received, and only tend to touch the petition just before approval.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

If you look at your VJ timeline it is predicting a early September NOA2 date... typically no touching happens between NOA1 and NOA2

YMMV

There had been a bit of a "surge" at CSC with some of us March and April filers getting approved in seventy-some days, but ninety days has been the usual for quite a while. I wouldn't fret. Although, the ones that got approved quick at CSC, like mine, took a long time to get to NVC, so it evened out, anyway.

Many thanks for those replies,

Did anyone else notice on the USCIS website when it updated on around June 15 it suddenly had two entries for I-129F processing on I think Nebraska for Feb 07 and March 07. Then a few days later it switched and California and it now both say Dec 06.

Seems strange but I figure this was a truer indicationt that they dont want you to see.

thanks again

Yes, it was probably first reported within minutes of the "eroneous" update. Not much gets past this site for significant periods of time.

I do not pretend to understand their reasoning. Someone told me that the date they show is the OLDEST application they are working on at that location. Compare this to the October estimate from VJ and this begins to make some sense. I think they are doing this to cover their butts and to not get your hopes up too high. Does anyone out there know any more about this???

Yes on thier processing dates, they show the oldest dates for the I-129F, which are at about 6 months. Most people get through in less time than that (2-4 months), though a few do make it to the 6 month mark.

Thanks for the info. I was so frustrated when I thought that the soonest they would start processing was nearly 7 months from my filing date.

No that is not correct but not that it matters much. The USCIS has said that they have a goal to process the I-129f's in 6 mos. or less. When thay are in compliance with this goal, they will indicate on there processing times report, a date that is reflective of this 6 mos. goal. When they are not in compliance with the stated goal, they will indicate a date that reflects the current processing time.

Since they are currently in compliance with the stated goal, the date that they indicate is a date of 6 mos. (That is why VSC and CSC magically have the same reported dates).

YMMV

I would not worry too much if I were you. There was a surge of approvals and now it seems they are getting back to their old routines of making everyone sweat it out. Just be patient. I was expecting my approval to take about 90days. I was lucky and just caught the wave of approvals. The hardest part of the whole process is the waiting without any updates. Hopefully soon you will get your approval. Good Luck to you all!!!!!
