As some of you know, my husband was supposed to get his visa stamped in his passport in late June, then apparently the day he was supposed to get his visa stamped, the Amman Embassy insisted they need "more information." Which is apparently another round of security checks. Has anyone been through a second set of security checks, and is it quicker or slower or can you not tell? Please tell me someone has been in this situation so i get a general idea of how long it takes. This is super frustrating!!!!! And im also afraid to call the Dept of State because they're just bad news bearers! Thanks in advance.

Nadia no one knows the magical answer to how long the checks will take. Try and stay positive and strong and hopefully you will have good news soon. (F)

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Stay strong Nadia... I would definitely call the DOS if I were you. I know you're scared, but what you don't know CAN hurt you! If there's any issue, like your application fell into a black hole or something, you can deal with it, and if there's no issue and it's just standard processing you'll be frustrated but probably will feel better.

And yes, there's no knowing how long this will take. Some people have waited less than a week, others have waited months (even years :() But most people get through within a few months.
