My interview was on November 2, 2021. I didn’t get my medical in on time so I was issued a 221g form stating refused due to medical exam results. He said he could not approve  until my medical results came in. My results were emailed early Thursday morning November 4, 2021. My case was updated on November 4th and has not been updated since. I emailed the consulate on November 5, 2021 inquiring about this and still have not received a response. Is this normal or  is this cause for concern? Very stressed at this point! Any input would be appreciated.

Your file has literally only been complete for a couple of weeks.  You have to give them more time to evaluate it and make a decision.

Sorry, I was not aware of that. I was trying to move my  question to the appropriate thread.

Hi! I interviewed on October 25 and was approved. My case status still reads "Ready" and I has not been updated since October 29. I am past the 3 week mark, and have emailed the consulate a few times. Since you haven't hit the 3 week mark yet, I'd say wait until then to start emailing them. I started a bit before, and havent heard back. I'd also look into contacting your spouse's state senator.

Hi there,  sorry you are still waiting. Hopefully you will get good news shortly! I just don’t understand how the consulate works. The majority of people that get approved at their interview receive their visas within a couple of weeks if not sooner. I will definitely look into contacting my spouse’s state senator. Have you went that route?

Thanks,

Redie

I hope so too. And really I have no idea what goes on there. It seems to be hit or miss really. Yes, we are planning to go that route. They will have to fill out a form, unfortunately as the immigrant, there's not much else we can do.

What are you hoping to accomplish with this?  They can inquire, and will receive the same info available to you.

They cannot 'move things along' or impact a decision.

Administrative processing has no 'timeline.'
