Can conditional GC holder travel with an expired GC and 24 month extension letter?

Hi all,

I applied to remove my 2 years conditions and my GC expired 3 months ago. I have my 24 month extension letter. I want to travel back home, Turkey and want to hear from your experiences. Are airlines aware of extension letters? Did anyone have any experiences with Turkish or Lufthansa airlines?

 

I appreciate any feedback as I am overthinking about this very much.

Yes they are, documents are on the list of needed documents to travel to the USA.

They are familiar with the green card + Extension letter. No issues flying into and out of Iran.

Our 90 day window opened on Halloween, 2021, sent the package on November 17, 2021 and was received by USCIS on November 20, 2021, and today, November 24 received the text message informing that the package had been received, and were assigned the Potomac Service Center.

 

Now comes the wait.....

 

Hopefully everything was done right and the case will be approved ASAP. 

 

Hundreds of hours studying immigration law, many forms have been prepared, thousands of dollars spent, we have been to interviews twice already (K1 and AOS), and we still have to prove to USCIS our marriage is real.

 

It is nice to see we're not alone, and do wish everyone lots of luck, as we're all in the same boat
