problem of sending filing package

Hi everybody. BIG PROBLEM HERE NEED HELP 😢

We recently mailed out the package for 129F K1 filing including one money order from an overseas APO address to USCIS by USPS.

For some ridiculous reasons it got detained in transit and not arriving the US and it's been almost two weeks.

We filed a lost mail search request and a money order inquiry for refund, and just sent out a second copy of the filing including a new money order and it's currently on its way as we really want to start the process asap.

We tried to contact USPS and the post office to have the first package returned to us and the money order refunded, but they've been very very helpful :) HA, telling us there's nothing they can do since it's an international military mail and it's not in the US yet. The USPS agent told us the package will still be sent to USCIS if found or finally scanned somewhere. (GOD KNOWS WHEN IT WILL BE)

The problem is by that time our second filing package most likely will be delivered, new money order will be cashed and case received.

My question is what would happen if another filing package is delivered to USCIS if they already received an application from the same couple and have their case registered?

Is there a way I can ask them to send back the package directly to us if it's delivered? Or they will still open the package and cash the money order and some application error for our case will appear and affect the process?

If anyone has similar experience or does know the answer please help us. We have been very stressed out these weeks, any suggestion is welcome!

Many many thanks!!

USPS SUCKS!

Stop payment on the first money order.....The first package will be rejected.

unfortunately it´s not possible to stop payment on the money order, it will still be cashed when the receiver have it in hand ... it´s also USPS postal money order and the only way to get a refund is to get the actual money order back and cash it out ourselves or file a lost claim but the package is ¨not lost¨ according to USPS (but not found neither)... super ridiculous 😭

Then, I think you now have to wait and see what happens.  IMO, USCIS will probably cash both money orders.  Once the package is accepted, the funds are gone.  Maybe one of them will actually get lost....
