Post office lost my EAD/AP combo card

Hi all, has anyone gone through this? I went through the website and reported that the post office didn't deliver my card and they told me to fill out another application and the only instructions were to not mail it to the national benefits centre. Do I need to pay the fee again? Do I need to wait another 9 months?

I'm so angry!! My grandmother is sick and I was hoping to make it home to say goodbye and I guess that's not going to happen.

How do you know that the green card is lost? What I mean is, did the post office say it was lost, does tracking show delivered but it isn't there, did Informed Delivery show it was coming on a certain day but it didn't, etc.? I'm asking because I have many incidents of things that were supposed to be delivered showing up 1-4 days later so just want to make sure you aren't worrying unnecessarily if there is a chance it will still come.

Okay first what does tracking number say about your card? You address is correct with USCIS? What makes you think it's lost? What does your status say on USCIS case status.

If the case status on USCIS is showing that your EAD card was mailed, but you never received it, there is a possibility that it was undeliverable or lost by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). ... Call USCIS to obtain the tracking number for your EAD Card.

Thanks for the suggestions! unfortunately the card really is lost. I didn't change my address, I received the approval notices for the EAD and AP fine but the card didn't show up. Tracking number says it was delivered on October 26th but it never showed up on my informed delivery or in my mailbox.

I didn't contact the post office, I'm not sure if that would do any good? But the tracking number says it was delivered.

When you called USCIS did you verify your address with them? What you need to do:

1. First call USCIS verify with them your address on record.
2. Go to USPS and put in complaint of your non-delivery. I have known people going to post office and it was actually there.

Check USPS first. Go to their office near ur place and investigate / complained / report with them first

100% agree about contacting USPS. I've had things go missing several times over the years, and while there hasn't always been a good outcome, one time they found the item at my local post-office and another time it had been delivered accidentally to the wrong address (but was successfully returned to me). It is concerning that it has been over 2 weeks already though since tracking said it was delivered. When did you find out about the problem?

Here is one more chance what might have happened ; I was tracking my card too on USPS . At 4.30 it was showing delivered I can see the postman walking in my driveway but card wasn't in my mailbox; I got panicked and i stopped him and asked about the card he said he scanned it but he doesn't know where is it... bcoz it comes in priority  mail packet he couldn't drop in my mailbox. He searched whole neighborhood and suddenly I remembered that we have two doors( entrance)and I went to check and the card was there. What a relief ( I was picturing myself chasing USICS) so check your other neighbors and another door if you have it.  And also do what other are saying contacting usps..

You should've visited your local post office the day the tracking says it was delivered, they can do a GPS scan to see which address it was actually delivered to (the exact house/building). Often they retrieve the mail back from that address and delivered it to the correct address. Not sure if that helps now since it's been so long.
