As far as my "connections" to the Philippines go I have been there multiple times. I have personally seen the poverty people deal with there. I have also seen the horrible conditions in some blue cities here in the US and I gotta tell you what I saw in the Philippines pales in comparison to what I saw in the blue cities. At least in the Philippines poor people generally have the decency to not take a dump in the middle of the street or shoot up drugs in the open. The other difference is people in the Philippines live on the streets because they have no choice. In blue cities they do it because they are lazy bums who don't want to get a job. Lawlessness in blue cities is what allows that type of stuff to happen. You set out to make this political and I guess you have succeeded.

And the poorest cities within those states are blue. I am unaware on any red cities where people regularly defecate in the streets (to the point where the city needs full time employees to clean it up), openly shoot up drugs and aren't punished for shoplifting and other crimes.

Who owns the legislatures in those states?   Rethuglicans.    The State controls the education system.   Those same poor (and GOP controlled) States have the lowest education attainment in the Country.     Own it.

what makes you think I am Republication. I am the only independent moderate Middle of the road poster here. I got kicked out of The Trump club long ago for making fun of him suggesting we look into injecting Disinfectant into people. 

 

Plus that dang insurrection was just awful. I could not sleep for days. I really thought it was another Ft Sumter and was going to kick of another civil war

Let me give you a little spoiler to the information I'm gonna post later. The number one poorest city in the US is Detroit. Blue city blue state. I haven't looked yet but I'm sure Detroit ranks pretty high for crime rates and poor education also.
