Morning! My wife is a military dependent (I am active duty) - we entered her DOD ID number as her known traveler number but it did not generate a TSA Pre Check on her boarding pass. Spirit said she’d be fine but they made her go through regular security at the gate. Currently TSA Precheck is only accepting applications for LPRs or conditional LPRs. Anyone with a foreign spouse/military dependent have luck getting approved for TSA Pre Check?

My wife had TSA- Precheck, but I don't think it was related to her military dependent status ( I am retired military).  They even took mine away.  I was told we have to apply and pay.

Hi!
When I first got to the US with my GC, my husband (Active Duty) was able to have me with him for TSA Precheck; but when we moved to Japan and the military booked us our flights, I was not able to.

Hi, a military dependent here!

it's only available to active duty, not dependents. (I tried!)

She'd have to pay for it and apply. A pretty simple process for just the TSA-Precheck, but more complicated for the other ones.

Never had an issue.  My wife and step son always got pre check along with me whenever I booked a flight somewhere.
