I mailed the package for adjustment of status and it was received on 28 June. The only thing I have received is the green receipt from the post office. Tried to check the status on the USCIS website with the WAC #, but it still just says "On March 13, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" Does not even mention anything that the visa was issued, etc.

When should I expect to receive a notice form USCIS that the AOS package was received, etc..

There's no point putting in that 'WAC' number, that's for your I-129F. You just need to wait for the NOA for your AOS to come (soon, hopefully)... or if the check you sent has been cashed, you can try to read the receipt number from the back of the check. Problem is, it seems that the numbers printed on the checks tend to be a few digits 'out' from the 'real' receipt number printed on the NOA, so you might not have much luck with that either... and even if the correct number is printed on there, it appears that USCIS are taking a long time to get the case numbers into the system to check them online. A lot of people who've just recently filed and got their case numbers are reporting that they're not coming up in the system yet...

... so you might as well wait for the NOA to arrive in the mail - should be soon, though. And again... has your check(s) been cashed yet? If so, at least you know everything's definitely been received ok... :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

Cheers to both sailorinaz and Jup1ter, I was trying not to get worried......given the 4th of July holiday, but we sent out our AOS package on 29 June, and it only had to go across Lake Michigan.....yet still no NOA1 nor have the checks cleared yet.

I hope we didn't mess up by sending it return receipt AND siggy confirmation. I got to the post office and "blanked" on which one VJ guidelines recommended, so we did both.

Ah well, no sense getting overly anxiuos, there's still time to resend (should that be necessary) before the BIG increase.

Thanks to featherb, as well, for the "heads up" about delays in USCIS getting the numbers in "the system"....one less thing to wonder about.

NOA1s come from Missouri, so it has to do more than cross Lake Michigan!

You know they got it because you have the mailing reciept.... there is a backlog caused by the number of applications trying to beat the fee increase.... if you call the 0800 line they will tell you to call back after 30 days.... if you have not heard anything by the end of July I would make an infopass at your local office and ask them to check....
