Did the embassy keep your passport?

What embassy?  Makes a difference

some have a long and extensive AP process while they do additional security checks (like India ,  Pakistan,  etc)

what did the white slip say?

Did they ask for additional documents and/or proofs?

CEAC site says ready for interview ,  then no one has imputed information into system.  it can change to refused which means they do AP

or Denied or approved

221(g) White Form: A white form indicates a complex category under 221(g). This slip denotes the need for further processing wherein it is handed over to the USCIS and the decision is finally taken based on the information gained from the USCIS.Jul 17, 2018

what is unfair is the poor record keeping in Pakistan

here in the US they keep track of everything we do /  all is documented / it takes just minutes to do background and employment checks here

OP since its been 4 months already,  u should expect the embassy to require a new medical exam if they tend to approve the visa

that part, yes,  may seem unfair but the medicals are only good for 6 months and that is the date also for a visa to expired

Its just normal for pakistani applicants, you can name it anythi g like  unfair ,islamophobia etc etc,but don't  you worry you will get  there, key is wait and go with  the system,if its genuine  case you will get your visa in approximately  in one or two months ,just take a chill pill and hang in there.

@JeanneAdil yes definitely medical will be expire soon... May be this is the big reason poor record keeping by them and also @Nasirlahore my frnd said its normal in pakistan for background check plus islamphobia ..dont know but its really painfull and i am totally confused what to do..

what to do is wait

best to find things to keep busy and not think of immigration

they kept your passport which means CO intends to approve if all security checks are good

now,  make long long visits with all family making sure they know how to use things like whatsapp so u can talk freely when u get to USA

it will be a long time before u will see them again so  use this time wisely with all of them

 an email of questioner.????

was this a ds5535?

Is so,  expect at least a year to process even for normal process and AP for Pakistan and could be longer if ds 5535

As i said in another post of yours,   'it is the poor record keeping in Pakistan"
