Good Morning, Good Evening , Good afternoon all.

I (petitioner) have submitted 129f for My fiancé and her kids and it was approved. February 21st of 2021 she went to have her Interview but pregnant with my child at the moment.  The officer asked is she would have the baby born in her country or in the United States. She and I agreed to have the baby born there. Big Mistake, although it was cheaper we are paying for it in time. . Let me explain.

Since the baby was to be born in the Dominican republic (may) she received a 221G letter stating that we need to complete a CRBA for the baby and have it sent over to the embassy. Sounds easy right? well it was not. We had to wait until the baby was born which was May and after he was born it took about 2.5 months to find a open date to book a CRBA appointment. Once we booked the appointment in Santo Domingo and was approved the same day, we still had to wait about another month for all his documentation to be mailed to her house.. Fast forward to October.  October 8th is when the embassy received all the requested documents that was listed on the 221g letter she received back in February.

I have checked the two websites to check the current status of her visa. One site is the ustravel docs and the other is the ceac site. the ustravel site has updated to where now it shows "deleivery Status" but its blank. The caec site shows her care was updated October 13; however the status still shows refused. I have called the numbers to contact the "embassy" and they are really useless. Its like they are reading answers off a script and if you ask anything that is not on their script, they gives answers the may or may not work to what your asking. I did some more digging to find out how long the 221g would be completed and on two different sites shows two different time frames. One site say 180 days and the other says 60 days!?

I swear this whole process needs a overhaul! this is stressful. I can only go visit her and my son every 2-3 months. He is growing without me and that is hard! D

I guess my question is; Does anyone have any experience with 221g letters from the Dominican republic and how long did it take to be resolved?

I do. So first, Don’t waste your time checking US travel docs cause it is useless. CEAC would be your best bet for any updates. I was in Refused for close to 5 months and my fiancé is also in Dominican Republic.
I also tried calling but it’s like you said, seems like they are reading off a script.
This email wasn’t that bad when I emailed them:

santodomingovisas@state.gov

If all your documents are in, it’s only a matter of time. I was finally issued last week after close to 5 months in Refused.

We also have a little WhatsApp group of people who are in Refused / Administrative Processing Status ( along with regular members just going through the process of K1/CR1) That I Can pass you the link for

Let me know if your interested.

Yes please, I would like to be added to the Whatsapp group. I will send you my number through private message.

Also, I have sent numerous emails to the santodomingovisas@state.gov but I never really got any concrete answers. Example: my question to them was ( I sent the last document that was requested on the 221g letter and I was wondering if anything else was needed in order for our case to proceed. I am asking because we never received anything confirming that our latest document was received and its been about a week) their response was : we received your last document October 8th. please be patient)  They never said we are working on your case or never answered oy other question about if anything else is needed)
