Hi Hedge,

Did you get the P3 packet to your email also or just your beneficiary's email?

Neither of us received P3 as an email. I got the snail mail notice first, then she did too a few days later. The packet she received additionally included a photocopy of our I-129F form (with some office notes jotted on it).

It has to be returned by email, though. We emailed the completed P3 in after I received mine in the mail, but you can probably send yours in as soon as you get the "second ready" that means that they mailed out the P3 (because how would they know when you actually receive it?). The P3 is just a notice with a link to this pdf: https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf

My fiancée then received P4 in an email a few days later.

Yeah, I'm going to join my fiancée in Montreal for a few days, hopefully to celebrate some good news! Partners aren't allowed at the interview itself, so for the big day I'll park myself in the designated spouse-and-fiancée zone at the Second Cup across the street. ; )

That is great to hear, we are planning to do the same. I've never been so might as well make it a little trip. Hopefully nothing too drastic changes with travel restrictions between now and then! Hope your exam went well too.

Sorry to keep asking questions but did you receive any type of confirmation email when you first submitted your P3 email?  I realized I never received any type of auto-response or email back and my online search isn't being clear. thanks!

No, my fiancée didn't get any auto response from the Packet 3, and from the other posts I was seeing in the Montreal K-1 Facebook group, no one else has been getting anything either. The Packet 4 email just came on its own a few days later.

And it's fine! : ) I'm happy to make sure as much info on the process is out there as possible, to help others.

It has been two weeks since we sent in the P3 so I'm just moderately concerned!  Unfortunately, USCIS misplaced our packet for about 5 months prior to this so I think I have a bit of PTSD at this point. I think I may call if I don't hear anything by Monday just to be sure.

Yeah, at this point I think it's a good idea to send them an email or phone call. Hope you get your P4 soon!
