This will be real fun when someone who has not been drinking is not allowed to use their vehicle.  Maybe this tech will include a backdoor to allow the Feds to disable cars and force people to take public transportation.

Wow. Just wow. Big Govt overreach.  Speed kills also. Limit cars to 70 MPH or better yet put transponders that govern them to the speed limit.

Or better yet... pass a law that limits speeds and punish those who are caught breaking the law.

I'm getting very tired of government control in our daily lives.  Next your Zelle and Venmo transactions will be tracked and taxed.

We will see what happens, but this is a recipe for disaster.  What do they do with shared cars, would you be willing to put your mouth on a device that who knows whom was previously blowing on?  Not to mention all the other software issues in cars today, but the Feds know more than us sheep how we should live our lives.  I can just see the wokiwoke Dems saying "if it saves just one life...".

I have a newer car where everything is computer controlled. The computer can't even get my cruise control or high beams right half the time and I'm supposed to trust it to tell if I'm impaired or not?

I remember when they introduced those on Cadillacs several years ago, the lights kept alternating from high to low so much in some areas, it was like a strobe light effect.

The auto high beams on my vehicle are 100% spot-on.  Though I heard that later year models, after a change in the sensor, messed that up.  Drat.

Mine work good most of the time. Other times they randomly turn on and flash an oncoming car which is kind of annoying.

Meanwhile I'm over here driving a 2017 Nissan that doesn't even have automatic windows (but it does have Bluetooth 😂). I don't like too much tech in my vehicles, and I'm gonna drive this car until it falls apart. I feel fancy when I'm in my hubby's Jeep because of the butt warmers.

I used to drive an old beater and was happy doing so. Then my wife made me buy a newer car for myself because she was sick of me fixing my car all the time.

To be honest, I would rather have crank windows.  The car I have now has the express up and down feature for the front windows and it touchy when you just want to crack the open a little.
