Hello everyone,

I received in the mail today my permanent driver's license. My AOS file is still under review. I only did biometrics.

Applied for AOS on July 26th

Biometrics August 24th

Request for Evidence September 24th

5 Year Driver's license - November 8th

Is it normal to receive the driver's license before AOS approval?

Thank you everyong

Driver licenses are issued by the DMV, not USCIS. Different agencies, different rules. Some states issue long term DLs to undocumented immigrants. Perhaps your states also issues DLs regardless of immigration status. I’m in NY and received my DL while my AOS is pending. I don’t really see how they’re related.
