Hey guys, just a question i am also a december 2021 filer, but I am planning on traveling to germany for christmas this year or maybe even before that. What are the steps for me? Like I know you can get a visa stamp in your password? But how do I do that, because I haven't seen anything where I could make an appointment in Norfolk with our Local office.

I only have the extension letter, my greencard is expired.

And since I am already typing, is there a reason a lot of you guys decided to do the N400? Because I was kinda hoping I can just refile my greencard stuff every 10 years, because I dont want to become a US Citizen. I know that might sound weird for some of you, but its not super easy to have dual citizenship and I would never want to give up my german citizenship.

I have travelled multiple times in multiple countries while my Green Card is expired. I am a Nov 2021 I751 filer. I just carry my expired green card along with the extension letter. The extension letter makes my green card valid till the end of Nov 2023, so I have no issues traveling during this period. I have travelled a lot in 2022 and didn’t face any issues to enter the US.

Just make sure your extension letter extends the validity of your green card at least until the time you will be getting back and carry both the extension letter and green card together.

No, it's not. But both spouses should go and hope that it is if the I-751 is still pending at the time of the N-400 interview.

My interview was scheduled  on Feb 22, 2023 for March 29, 2023. Filed N400 on around Dec 20, 2022 and immediately received a biometric reuse notice. Nothing after date until yesterday. I-751 is still pending (filed Nov 1, 2021). After I filed N400, I751 case was transferred. That's the only update I received on I751

Got a 48 month extension today. Anyone else get one?

Yep, we did. Grateful that even if we have to wait, at least we won't be scrambling for an infopass appointment next year!

Got also a 48 month extension letter today. The status online still can't seem to update (can't retrieve information at this point error) and is still stuck at fingerprints.

Hopefully that n400 will get it moving

When was the last update for your current online status?

Ours changed from "waiting for interview" to "fingerprints were taken" in October 18 last year and I recently read her in the forum that it was just a glitch. 😑

Up until today when it was approved at the interview it just showed about the fingerprints in the "case history" tab. Even now that it has been approved only the case history shows "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed" but the case status is still "unavailable at this time"

My green card has my married name and my passport has my maiden, i will be booking under me maiden name what should I carry alongside to ensure I don’t get denied? Thanks!
