I would say add things from before you arrived in the US, because it seems you're mostly adding things starting from 2020. You need to show things from when the marriage started, not just since you became a resident. I came on a CR1 visa too, so for that time period I am just adding boarding passes/Itineraries and pictures. I don't have much more from before I was a resident.

Yeah all I can add from that time really are pictures from when she visited me while I was waiting for the i130 to be approved.

Basically the stuff I brought for the i130 embassy interview.

I think you are looking good! If I may add one thing though...you haven't addressed a deed, mortgage, or rental agreement with both names. I think that is a big one to add. Also don't forget the front and back copy of your green card!

I am also including the marriage certificate and a few wedding pictures as we are filing jointly based on marriage.

Per the USCIS: Evidence of the relationship:
Submit copies of documents indicating that the marriage upon which you were granted status was entered in good faith and was not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws. Submit copies of as many documents as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date;

Good luck!

Thank you!

My wife owns the house we live in since I arrived so we don't rent and to add my name to the mortgage needs refinancing so we will have to do without that paper or the car deed/insurance since I don't drive so hopefully they will see all the other aspects.

Yep seems I will be adding the marriage certificate too, just I was surprised because they are supposed to have it anyway from when they approved the CR1 visa haha.

Just a thought, but my husbands name is not on the mortgage loan either but is on the deed. When we moved back to the US from Ireland my Dad had to co-sign a loan for me as the banks wouldn’t let me have a loan with foreign income. So the mortgage loan is in mine and my Dads name but we went and had the deed changed at a lawyers office to include my husbands name on it. Just a thought if you wanted that included!

Thanks I will look into it see if they can do something like this at a reasonable cost.

Hopefully though USCIS will focus more on our bank accounts and credit cards 😄

Probably will add paystubs from my job too that shows the address,  can't hurt.

Does anyone know if it matters what date I write on the cover letter/forms when I sign? like if i can mail in December, but I write November, will that be ok? (because basically i will have the packet ready to send before December starts)

I was going to ask a similar question, I have all the forms filled in at different times, I filled in the I751 at the start of November, but I'm waiting until next week to get a second affidavit from a family member which will be dated 2-3 weeks after the I751 form, and then the cover letter for the whole packet will be dated the day before I send everything off.

I just wondered if there was a "must be dated within xx days of application" kind of "rule"?

I have nt seen any written rule. We have our affidavits with different dates but chose to sign our i751 and date our cover letter so they are the same and of course in our 90 day window. I just like matching dates but I don’t think it matters. Our dates didn’t match for the i130.

I didn't match the dates for previous applications but since now we have the 90 day window thing I didn't know if it was important now.

I think I will just make sure the I751 and the cover letter have the date of when my 90 days start, just to make sure, and the rest of the documents just whatever date they already have 🤔

Oops, I didn't think about matching the dates...

I didn't have matching dates for my AOS either lol

It shouldn't matter too much...

Both my affidavits from our cowork and friend were dated the time when they had time to do it. I only included their DL's copies.

Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!

We just finished putting our I-751 file together but I wanted to double check something with you guys before we send it out -

did you and your significant half sign your full name including the middle name on I-751?

Goodness I never thought of that. I signed my first middle initial and last. Aaron just signed his usually mash up 😆

Husbands window actually opens 11/14 but we are mailing on Dec 1 so I guess we will join both groups😄

We have so much to put in I’m just trying to get my head around organizing it best.

My husband's window opened up on the 23rd but I just sent the packet on Saturday and it arrived today. So we may land in December filing group too!

Our package was just handed to the mail man. It was about 5 lbs. this is what we included. So we will be December filers. Our open window was November 26.

Good luck to you all! We are mailing out Dec1. Our window opened up Nov 14 so we are December filers now. Your list looks good. Ours is similar but included all our bills (in joint account). I'll post our list later.
