Hello

My parents received DQ by NVC on October 15, 2021 and Oct 22, 2021. NVC also mentioned that they will contact the US Embassy in London UK to email us the visa appointment. Has anyone gone through this process recently for IR5 visa, and guide me as what is the timeframe to get the appointment from the US Embassy in London UK? I’m wondering if the visa interview will be in two months or six months from the the date DQ received. I am planning to get my parents Medical examination done next week. Thank you

Be aware that NVC will schedule the interviews when their cases reach the front of the queue for London (at NVC).  Also be aware that it could take a while....and their medical exams will expire in 6 months from date of completion....any issued visa will expire when the medical exam expires.  Good luck.

I wouldn’t arrange a medical until you have an interview assigned. But if you haven’t already done so, review what they will need to take to the medical and get that lined out. Read the whole page.

Here is the most recent UK thread for parent visas which may give you some insight into how it’s been going.  People in that thread can probably help you with additional info if needed.
