I have a love one who is scheduled to fly to the US after November 8th mandate takes effect, this individual has been Granted visa for permanent residence in the US almost 5months ago. The individual was told not to take the vaccine in her country instead to wait upon arrival to the US, now that the time is closer for travel my love one is concerned because of what is being required. Does the legal permanent resident visa holders exempted from this requirement for travel? Please help us. Thanks

1. If he wants to take the vaccine, he can in his home country. Why wait till US? Some countries are charging astronomical $$ for it. If that's the case in the home country, then I will wait too and take it in US where it's free.

2. Anyway, the only requirement to come to US is that you need to show negative COVID test, whether you're vaccinated or not.

3. His visa term is about to run out at 6 months. I'll be more careful because an extension will be unlikely being that nothing bars him from making the journey as of now.

4. You are comprehending the November 8th mandate wrongly. It basically states (2) above. See link below.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You need to contact the airlines to see what he needs to board the plane.  Since he is coming from Caribbean country, you need to make sure they have everything to get on the plane.
