After almost 2.5 years from filing. This part of our journey is over and our new one begins.  JAL upgraded them to business class from Tokyo to Dallas. Eventhough it's 75 which is a blessing in November, they are cold lol. Everybody needs a long rest now.

Long journey, glad you are all safe and together

Yes a few days sleep for sure .. jet lag is always a bear

That's really awesome.  It's been a long time coming.  Talk about arriving in style too.  JAL's Business class product is pretty sweet.  We have the same problem about the weather here is San Diego too.  They are layered up in full winter gear in the house.

So when my fiancée arrives in Chicago in the middle of December am I going to need to dress her up like she's on an expedition to the South Pole?

My wife came to San Antonio, and it snowed 2" a week or two later which was most snow in 32 years.  It was fun watching her turn into a 5 year old playing in the snow.  Well, right up until she realized it was really cold...

I still have PTSD from one winter spent north of Chicago on the lake in 1984.

Finally done.

I found that to be funny as well. My asawa was upset that snow was really cold and wet.
