Background:  I am the petitioner for a K1 for my fiance.  I have lived in Czech Republic for 6 years.  I did not file U.S. tax returns for the years 2016 - 2019 because I made less than $12,000 USD (in czech currency).  I properly reported and paid my taxes to the Czech government each year.   I properly filed my 2020 return in the U.S.   I have a financial co-sponsor for my beneficiary.

My question:  Even though I have a financial co-sponsor, will I have a problem with the K1 process because I only filed the 2020 U.S. Taxes with the IRS?

It seems that I was not legally required to file the U.S. returns because of my small income.  But will it affect my K1 application for my beneficiary?

Will your fiance be interviewing at the embassy in Prague?  There is no requirement for 3 years of sponsor's tax returns on the US embassy's interview checklist, nor on the I-134 form instructions --
