It does some how but i feel like this estimated time isn't the full picture on how this cases work . Cuz i have send cases with 12 months been interviewed or even approved but well we just hope for faster response 🙏🏼

Same boat, I filed on Nov 21st, 2021. Got NOA and the biometric reused notice on the same day. NBC, filed office Detroit.

Still nothing but showing “USCIS is actively reviewing…”not sure how much longer we are gonna have to wait 😕

I filed in August (Detroit field office) and had my interview yesterday.  So 7 months wait.  I received notice of the interview 5 weeks prior.....if that helps any.

8/2/2021:  Mailed N-400

8/4/2021: N-400 received

8/6/2021:  Biometrics to be reused
3/15/2022:  Interview (successful)

Thank you CDAgirlMI for sharing!

This 5-week notice for interview is helpful cuz I keep traveling for my job…I guess now it’s just waiting game haha.

Fingers crossed!

Yes, they give you plenty notice.  If you have a USCIS account it will show up there too (along with a mailed paper copy).   I think the timeline was showing 13 months when they scheduled me, so I wouldn't worry with that much either.

Is 5 week notice the standard?

Today makes it 4 months since USCIS is processing my application. I live in NYC so I know it will take longer than expected. I checked once a week to see if there’s any update. So far the only update is  “as of November 18th, we are actively reviewing your case”. I will wait! P

Install the USCIS case app on your phone. You can give it your case # and it will keep checking for your cases every few hours and immediately send you an alert if there is an update to your case. That will prevent the painful process of constantly checking and getting disappointed.

Also did you check this forum's case tracker for NYC USCIS office? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=New+York+City+NY&op1=6&op2=&op4=1&op5=&cfl=0

The most recent N400 cases are taking 12 months since date of filing to be approved. Some cases are are being approved 6 months after filing N400 but that's because USCIS is holding I-751 and N400 interviews combined and the I-751 was probably applied > 12 months before the interview.

If you don't have an older I-751 pending, do not get your hopes high atleast until you cross the 8 month mark.
