UPDATE

11/24 Mailed AOS Package

12/1 AOS received

12/3 NOA 1 for each application via text (I-485, I-765, I-131)

12/11 Biometrics appt scheduled

I haven't received the notice for biometrics yet, I just found out it was scheduled because I checked the case status online, so I don't know when it's scheduled for.

QUESTION: I set up an online USCIS account when I completed the I-130 application (I'm the US Citizen). I didn't see my online account number, so I filled out the I-485 and left that part blank. When I received all the receipt notices, I tried adding those paper applications to my online account so I could see the status, but it said those applications were already added to an account. How do I sign into the account associated with those applications?

UPDATE

11/24 Mailed AOS Package

12/1 AOS received

12/3 NOA 1 for each application via text (I-485, I-765, I-131)

12/11 Biometrics appt scheduled

1/6 Biometrics Completed. Status updated to "case actively reviewed."

1/11 Expedited Request submitted for EAD, due to job offer.

I hope my husband can get his EAD by next month! Once that happens, waiting for everything else will be a little easier.

Hi all, I just found this thread. I'm adjusting from a K1

10/28 - AOS package sent to Chicago (i-485, i,864, i-765, i-131)

10/29 - Package Delivered

             ## did not receive any confirmation text messages, despite requesting ##

11/06 - I-797C, NOA received for I-485, with details of online account creation

             ## did not receive any other NOAs for I-765 or I-131 ##

11/06 - Biometrics Appointment for 12/03 issued (viewed online)

11/30 - RFE for I-864 - status of sponsor

12/01 - Responded to RFE online

12/03 - Biometrics Appointment Completed

Questions : I never got I-797C NOA receipt notices for the I-765 and I-131, either paper or online ... will I ever need these at any point? (The cases are all present on my online account with respective receipt numbers)

My I-131 is still at the 'case received and a receipt notice was sent' stage and says 'please follow the instructions in the notice'. As I said, I haven't got a notice so could someone check their I-131 NOA and let me know if there is something I need to do to progress this, or is it normal that it's not yet being actively reviewed after 2 months?

Update:

12/9: Received RFE dated 12/1 requesting proof of status of Sponsor for Form I-864.

The I-864 instructions state "Petitioning relatives who have already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Form I-129F, Form I-130, Form I-600, or Form I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status with this affidavit."

I included copies of both my birth certificate and passport in the I-129F, so I didn't include it with the I-864 this time. They must have lost the records, or maybe the officer didn't look deep enough.

Thankfully, it was easy enough to upload digital copies of my birth certificate and passport to the MyUSCIS website the same day we received the RFE. Along with the documents, I included a brief cover letter.

I had the exact same thing - didn't include it as per the instructions but then got RFE.  Simply uploaded a digital copy my wife's passport along with a pdf of the RFE, same day.

Has anyone applied for their SSN by going to the SS office? We applied December 3 and have yet to receive the number and have called countless times and they say we are in 'Step 3' of verification process... not sure what we can do... because my husband is going to risk losing his health insurance if we dont get the number in the next 7-10 days!

Yes, normally they take 2 weeks to process the application but in case of verification of valid immigration status needed from USCIS it takes more than 4 weeks. I applied in the last week of October 2021 and received in 1st week of December. For me, it  took around 6 weeks approx.

In between i called at local SSA office many times and they said it's pending on USCIS end and they can't do anything about it, once verification is done from USCIS they will send SSN via mail.

Can I apply for SSN now that my AOS is pending or wait till I have my EAD in hand?

No, Social Security Office requires the actual EAD card. Unless there is a last minute change in their procedures... It never hurts to go and ask directly.

Hey all! New to this community, but thought I’d put my/my husband’s AOS timeline on here for reference too:

11/24 Mailed AOS Package

12/1 NOA received for each application (I-485, I-765, I-130

12/4 Biometric appointment scheduled

12/27 Biometric appointment completed

1/22 Status updated to interview was scheduled

1/28 Letter received with appointment date (scheduled for 3/3)

Surprised by how quick it was for us - looks like we’ll get the green card before EAD/Advance Parole.
