Hello all, we are applying for AOS (hoping to mail off on Monday!) from a K1 visa -- Since we are mailing off the Form I-765 and Form I-131 with I-485 do we need to include duplicate copies of passport biographical information, visa stamp, etc. for all three or will one copy be enough if mailed off together?

I'm a few days after submission, so I'm no expert, but the conclusion I drew a few weeks ago when I was looking into this is that these are all considered separate applications despite being submitted concurrently, so the evidence and documentation for each form application must be fulfilled on its own.

So, my recommendation is to treat each application you're doing as a separate thing (imagine as if they'll be split up upon arrival at the USCIS). Make sure the evidence for each one can stand on its own.

This is absolutely correct although some people only submitted for the main I-485. At one time folks were getting RFEs for the 131 and 765 because of that fact. The jury has been out on whether to add triplicate copies or just the one! I submitted 3 seperate copies also since the 485, 131 and the 765 are all handled seperately. The possibility of them getting seperated from the 485 is 100%. To be on the safe side I would submit 3 seperate copies.

Just relax don't be in a hurry breatheeeeeee, everything will be alright! But I understand what you are saying, we have all been there. I can't stress enough ensure that you make a extra copy of all you send in! Then once you send in your packet you still have to collect documents and evidences from the day you send in your packet until your interview. I used a gallon zip lock bag and every time I had something I thought I might want to take to the interview as proof I threw it in the bag. It helps let me tell you!!!!! Use the time after you submit your AOS, to get your spouse on your water, gas or electric bills (if not already), get that joint bank account etc. You'll be fine...... and don't forget to build your spouses credit score.

Thank you for all the advice!!! We will get him on the bank account as soon as his SS card arrives and then I planned on getting him a credit card with me as a cosigner so the credit could start building.

Do you know of any situations like this.. currently we are living with my parents to save some money for a home so we won't have any bills in our names, shouldn't be an issue come interview time? I'll of course explain this to them!

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I recently submitted our I-130 (online) and AOS packages! Timeline is as follows:

11/24 Mailed AOS Package with I-130 Receipt page (I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864)

12/1   AOS Package received in mail room

No other movement on either application, but that's to be expected. Looking forward to going through this journey with everyone!

Thank you!

I also have a question: I noticed the my I-130 package says "Texas Service Center" on the bottom. I live in California, so I assumed that's where I'd be assigned. Does this mean my service center is Texas? Could it be because I filed online?

I am not real sure about a I-130 since I did not file that particular form. I do know that on your NOA at the bottom it will say/list the center where your case is processing, but that can change many times and no it does not have to be processed in the same state you live in, it can process at any of the centers around the U.S.

Hii all,

I am K1 AOS filer

11/16 AOS packet sent(I-485, I-131, I-765)

11/18 message received with receipt numbers

11/27 hard copy received (NOA1)

But, i have not received the letter with the user code for creating USCIS online account. So, I am concerned about that because i have seen in the group that people mentioned that they received user code and through online account they scheduled their biometrics. So, i don't have any idea that we have to book our biometrics at our own or USCIS will send letter for scheduling biometrics?

pls help!
