Guys I have two questions:

1. Can we get our medical done in any one of the centres of the hospitals listed in the Consulate website. Or are we supposed to get it from any one particular hospital and city?

2. Is anybody renewing their police verification certificate? Or can we just carry the same one that we had uploaded to the NVC? I read somewhere online that police certificate generally does not expire.

we can go to any hospital from the listed-on consulate website.
PCC validity for 1 year but consulate do not ask for new PCC that was I heard from my friends who completed interviews recently. But still it would be preferable to have new PCC just for peace of mind on interview day that we have evert thing up to date.
new PCC will arrive very quickly then first time. so should be faster.

Per our head counts we are many who are DQ'd in january & February 2022 were skipped in scheduling IL.

Yes, that seems to be true. My parents are in IR5 got DQ in Jan 2022, PD: July 2020, still waiting for IL from Mumbai

IR5 category is different than IR1 and CR1
IR1 and CR1 are given first priority.
There is a long wait in IR5 right now.  My parents got visa after 2 years of PD with IR5 category.
