i did sent an email to mumbai consulate but they responded back with NVC inquiry form. I have already contacted to NVC using their public inquiry form about a month ago but I'll probably have to wait for one more month for their response based on their timeframe posted on their website.

 

Do you know if anyone had a similar issue in the past or currently having? if so, what would be the best way to escalate the case?

Your case is at NVC right now. NVC is the right entity for communication. Hence, the consulate told you to contact NVC. Could you please write a new post so that admin/other people can have a look? Good luck.

Any new ILs. What's going on with mumbai? I  follow alot of other pages. People across the world receiving interview letters. Why any one in mumbai not receiving in any letters or people are just not posting here.

Did you contact consular or nvc after being DQed at all? Did you expedite your case at all?

My parents got DQ on Jan 3, 2022 in IR5 category. Still no IL from Mumbai Consulate. Contacted the senators and they sent out an inquiry and received a scripted response from NVC which basically stated we will have to wait and nothing else can be done, contacted the Mumbai consulate directly and they told me to contact NVC so back to square one!

Yeah some people from April 2022 DQ date got interview date in Oct. But they skipped January and February people. Now sure whats going on. Not many people got IL though. It was just couple people.

hey guys! anyone heard anything from NVC yet? any idea what the hell are they doing all this while? we have gotten to end of 2022 now and they still have not started scheduling interviews for CR1/IR1 yet! 

Any other person here staying away from their spouses for a long time now?

Alot of us. Its just frustrating no idea whats going on. I just watched video on you tube that mumbai consulate canceled alot of other visa interviews like visitor, business, H1B on last minute saying they have some system technical issue. Last minute means when people showed up to interview they told them there's issue and they'll send them new interview date and they changed their consulate to Delhi, Chennai wherever they could.

i don't understand why are they creating such a mess out of the process! 2022's end is nearing and they have an entire year's worth backlog for CR1/IR1 that they haven't cleared yet. Really difficult to keep up hopes with all this non transparent statistics and processes.
