I just called the NVC and the supervisor I spoke to sounded like he was very tired or something and didn't even want to speak to anyone. However I asked why my case is not picked up and others with the same category are getting ILs. He said, every case is different, whatever embassy tells us we provide cases to them. So I asked if embassy doesn't ask for whatever dates they skipped, do I have to wait another year? He said, if they don't ask, you have to wait. I was wondering if I should hire an attorney at this point? I don't know what to do, NVC is not the best place to get an answer related to your case.

I heard that they will start considering F2A from March.

In the past, F2A was never current and has wait times of 1-2 years as per visa bulletin. However CR IR was always and will always current. Therefore , their priority to clear backlog will always be IR CR compared to F2A. However good luck for F2A.

How they provide the cases to embassy? It is always based on DQ. Supervisor should clarify the criteria. That’s all BS.

Wow! Maybe when I’m visiting my husband in April we can get IL! I’m DQ’d August 2021

Wow. I am visiting my partner in April too. But my chances to get IL are less compared to you ☺️

Like I said, not being rude or anything but supervisor had a very heavy accent and wasn't fluently speaking and the lady before him I spoke to was very nice and she said she was going to transfer me. First she said let me check if someone is available and then she said she would transfer me to her supervisor but I didn't hear any transfer tone on the phone. The supervisor was just there I guess to talk to me. lol

I even told the supervisor that it's a same CR1/IR1 category, other people who's dq date is after me getting the interview letters and he was keep saying every case is different. lol

I guess I have to wait for another 6 months, just bad luck.

I am so sorry for the pain this is causing. BS supervisor.  All DQ'ed applications with same visa class, same DQ'ed date, destined to the same US consulate should and will be treated alike.

My advice is to put all this experience with the NVC in an email/letter and contact your congressman's office for help. You will get help.

Yay for getting to visit our beloveds. It’s been two years for us we are so excited be together again. It’s just heartbreaking to leave him behind. So maybe a miracle of an interview date when I am there. I’m afraid to get hopes up.
