Don't wanna bum out anybody...sorry in advance if i do...but I noticed that NVC skipped few IR1/CR1 cases from nov/dec/Jan 2020, some people DQ'd in those months still haven't received their interviews. Does anybody have any clue why they did that? Is their a criteria or was that just random?

The people from the months you mentioned are just two per my knowledge. I believe there must be some reason why their applications are put aside. They must call the Mumbai Consulate and enquire what is missing with their application. They must also contact their local congressman's office for help.

Today someone's visa was approved - DQ date 02/25/2021.

I'm DQ'd March 18th 2021, IR 1 category. Haven't received IL yet. Any advice?

Seems like they are still working on March files...you may get it soon 🤞🏻 update here too if you do get it.

What do I have to do with my case? My case has been dqed on Feb-22-2021. I checked with NVC asking if I need to submit any additional documents and they said we have all required documents from you, at this point you don't need to submit anything. You are in line for the interview to be scheduled. How can I contact embassy directly? Do they answer specific questions related to the case?

We were DQ’d August 2021. My lawyer is I touch with the embassy regularly and they just send a form letter email. Contacting them about your case is pointless. However if you have a congressional representative that is active around immigration challenges, it’s worth reaching out to them. I applied for expedited interview knowing it would be rejected. But now the state department is asking every two weeks about the status of our interview. My rep sends us an email letting us know that they are still doing this on our behalf.

Hi

Thank you for the update. I think for August, you still have to wait, as per the thread they are currently working on March-21. I am not sure if I should wait or hire an attorney as my DQ Date is Feb-22-21. I will hit the 1 year mark tomorrow.

I heard things were moving quickly but who knows? We applied and were moved to NVC within six months of I-30 approval. Then it took a year of getting nearly impossible documents. Then lockdown. It’s  been three years process and now waiting for interview. I feel your pain and heartache. I’m not sure what a lawyer can do,we are all waiting. I needed an attorney because my husband  is a refugee so getting documents and requests to waive certain ones, I couldn’t have known or gotten through the process on my own. I’m trusting that my husband will be home this year.
