Attention K-3's

I'm sorry all you K-1's who are going through a similar situation, as i'm sure that you love your Fiancee's just as much as we K-3's love our Spouses, but this is for K-3's because we all had to file I-130's. So please don't feel left out on this.

Have any of you K-3 personnel been able to get a live person at the USCIS office? If so let's see what you are being told. This is my fifth time in the last month contacting these people and speaking to a live INS agent (The reason I get to speak to one is the fact the we still are unable to see our number). In all the five times I have spoken with an agent I have gotten five different stories concerning the visibility of my receipt number to where my case is in the process. I have been told everything from the system is down to your case has been approved and when I called back I was informed that not only had the case not been approved but it was still processing

What I fail to understand is how can some cases with a date that is later than our own be approved alreadyand how is it that some people can see their receipt online and others can't. :o

As we all know this is very frustrating, not to mention costly for spouses trying to obtain two households. I also noticed that the I-129F supposed to be a faster track in lieu of the I-130, but I have seen several people who while awaiting the I-129F approval the I-130 is approved first. "What's The Deal". I know that patience is a virtue (At least that is what my wife tells me) (L) But it is getting a little hard to have patience when the Powers That be is holding all the virtue.

If anyone else out there (Remember K-1's this is a K-3 meeting) That has contacted the USCIS via phone and or email and have a story to share I surely, as well as other would be more than interested in what your expirences were....Thank You

I know the waiting sucks, but hang in there, there have been many people on these boards that have the same problem with the "online" status !, to be honest it isnt that important, its just one of those things that nice to see!

The K3 seems to of slowed down a little, but not running into months like it was early last year & the year before, so hang in there  ,cos once the approval comes, it just flies, The I-130's you probably have seen getting approvals before K3's were probably processed through VSC which is a lot faster than CSC where your petition is

Good Luck on a speedy approval :yes:

I talked to someone 15 days ago and was told that since I was outside the processing time they could file a request for information. Not exactly sure what that will do, but we will see. In the meantime we received approval on the I-130. It doesnt mean that we still wont use K3, but increases the chance that we wont. Just depends on which gets to the embassy first.

I called again yesterday but I got the same old story. The new twist to their story is that they have computer glitch now. This is ridiculous. I hope I will never have to deal with these people ever again. I just wonder why we pay all these taxes and pay hefty application fees when we cannot even expect some decent service. It took my wife grand total of three weeks to get her passport, police certificate, and other documents in India. Corruption and bureaucratic red-tape is supposed to be rampant in India (at least that is what our media tries to portray it as). I wonder where bureaucratic red-tape is worst here in US or in third world countries such as India.

Just want to add my two cents. Keeping two households is very expensive, never mind the stress of trying to raise a child by yourself. How many petitions could there be in this two week time period? The Travel is tough and stress of not being with you loved one is enormous and puts a strain on the marriage. But as they say what ever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't know how much more I can wait. But each day passes and the stress just gets worse. Seems like there in no end.

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

Nov. 17/09 -- I-751 sent (Day 1)

I sure as heck agree with you. It's really ironic that we have all these illegal people here and it seems as though us and our spouses, the ones who are paying all our bills are the ones who are getting the short end of the stick
