Anyone been charged for offenses but case was dismissed, no evidence, got their visa ?

Do they look at charges if the case was dismissed cause of no evidence and court stage was at Mention date and not trial date ?

It depends upon the charges and the disposition for the case dismissal.  If it is CIMT, they will review the information and make a decision.

You was charged ?

This is so disgusting when a cop falsely charge an innocent person knowing he/she is innocent and the accused have to go through all this issue smh

was there an arrest?

Arrested, charged and case was dismissed because there's no such evidence to prove in the first place i commit the crime and the cops knew i didnt do it nor have any knowledge about it at all. So case was dismissed and the judge was even mad at the cop

Yes and will be always 100% honest through this process.

Do you know if charges cause denial or they look at guilty/convictions ?

They will look at it NO question about it,

Just be honest and disclose everything in the application

As far as denial is concerned Noone can tell you with certainty that it will be a cause for denial or not.

But yes it will definitely make them scrutinize your application a bit more for sure.

Hang on

So you were requested court documentation at the time of your K1 interview and probably given a 221g?

You have provided all the documents pertaining to it? With maybe an explanation letter?

I am also assuming that they asked you about it because it was disclosed during the actual i129F filing and all?

It was not a surprise to you or them to be brought up during the interview itself?

Yes the right and correct record was submitted along with the other doc and my passport as they requested. Yes on ds 160 i told the truth and at the interview as well. All they wanted is 2 missing doc 1 is which court record and passport back. Someone said they would have denied at interview but they didnt and asking for missing documents and my passport back thats a good sign so idk..

Were you charged ? In the same boat ?
