Nahhh, mine got transferred to Texas Service Center ages ago. Last time I checked processing times were 10.5 - 14 months so nothing I can enquire about yet. Was hoping to have approval before Xmas but losing faith, TX processing times only seem to be increasing.  😓

Why on earth do they transfer people to the center that already has longer processing times? I’m so sorry you guys are experiencing this.

Good news for fiancés then! Back in 2020 when we were deciding what to do they had pretty similar processing times so we decided to get married in NZ go straight for the CR1. Helps to check the specific processing time of the service center yours is at as well - https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ - some centers are much slower than others. I have definitely seen people on VJ get approved shockingly fast but there seems to be no rhythm or rhyme to it. Just luck of the draw I guess.

No, I-129F petitions are processed at the CSC, except for a very small handful sent to Vermont with petitioner criminal backgrounds.

I've heard spousal visas are currently being prioritized over fiancé visas

Visas, yes.  Not petitions.  Big difference.

Ugh I know.. from what I've read on here seems like most people who apply online get their receipt notice from Nebraska Center but many get transferred on. Just trying to tell myself it could be worse. Texas is slooooow but by no means the slowest. Telling myself maybe it'll be an advantage and we'll bypass interview delays by the time we reach that step because the Consulate will be all caught up... but as we all know - you can't really predict this process. Especially during Covid times.. oh well, as much as I'm missing my family terribly it is hard to complain when the place you are "stuck" is in beautiful NZ! & Feeling thankful I'm just with my husband during the wait.
