Received my green card yesterday!

Chapter closed, now... is there a difference between filing n-400 online or via mail? Is one faster than the other?

Congrats! The difference is CONVENIENCE big time. Filing online you’ll be able to see all the receipts, notices and upload docs at your fingertip whenever you’d like. No need to wait for NOA to arrive via snail mail when you know they sent you a interview date. Can be checked right away.

Thanks, I filed it yesterday and couldn't imagine it was gonna be so easy. Already got a case number and "case is being actively reviewed".

Thanks again

🙌🏻 Now hang tight there. Do I remember correct that both of us are SF local field office? Seems like they kinda on a slow side with scheduling naturalization interviews…I filed on Oct 17 and not a peep since then. Patiently(not 😂) waiting for their invitation.

Yes, San Francisco too!

Honestly at this point I don't care how long it will take, I hope they concentrate on approving all the I-751.

I can wait now!

I wish I could say the same…really need that new citizen passport, missing out on a family trip rn. Should be in Paris and Amsterdam with my husband right at this very moment I type. Sigh! With my current passport it would be such a pain in the butt to apply for Schengen visa and they also issue them strictly for the dates you are supposed to spend there 😏 Used to be much more better with a leeway. Decided to hold on any abroad trips that require visa.

Just updating here because my husband had his N-400 yesterday, and is now a US Citizen. Luckily this also means that the long wait for ROC is now irrelevant. Case status for the I-751 says "Case was approved" and N-400 days "Certificate Of Naturalization Was Issued". It's a relief to not have to think about green cards and processing times anymore.

Congrats on escaping the blacjk hole that is USCIS :). Still stuck in orbit at Vermont/Bostn MA field offices :(. No progess on either I-751 or N400 since filing.
