Just checked it now and yes it changed to 7-22 months hahahaha Time to enjoy the wait. I always think dealing with USCIS is like cooking rice. Once it's submitted, stop checking the status until it's out of normal processing time (which may change from time to time)

Hi everyone! I was finally able to send our packet out today. Our window had actually opened on Monday but I couldn't start on the packet until last weekend, and then I totally forgot that yesterday was a holiday so the post offices were closed. 

 

I'm kind of nervous because our packet isn't as comprehensive as other packets. I mostly concentrated on showing joint accounts (banks, car insurance, etc), joint tax transcripts, and having each other as beneficiaries in our retirement plans/life insurance. I didn't include any pictures or try to incorporate how our marriage had grown over the two years since I didn't realize this could help us waive the interview. The most I included was our new home purchase contract to show that we're locking in our future together by buying a house and getting a mortgage in both our names.

 

Speaking of our mortgage, because my husband's green card's expiration is so close to our expected closing date,  the lender is asking for proof of renewal. I'm hoping the NOA text message only takes a couple of weeks for us so I can give them the proof right away and not delay our closing.

I would not do it.  There is always a chance it may get there a day earlier.  Downside risk is too much if it gets there early - they receive your application, realize it was sent too early, reject the application and then send it back to you- this could take a month.  In the bigger picture, one or two days will not make much of a difference.  

 

However you decide to proceed, make sure your application and cover letter is dated NO earlier than 90 days window.
