Let us know what the letter is, please!

I did my fingerprints already for N400, but my 751 is dormant... Lol

It was the transfer letter confirming the I-751 moved from SRC to NBC.

Hopefully it’ll move fast from here! I’m seeing N400 cases get approved in the 3-6 month range.

A trend I am noticing for N400 filed with I-751 pending is that USCIS waits for the full 3 years ( 90 day period ) to compete before taking the next step. That is the only hope for my case. Filed N400 on December 16th and hoping that my I751 gets moved out of Vermont end of Feb

I really don't like the lack of movement for WAC cases in 21XXX, 22XXX, 23XXX and 24XXX ranges yesterday and today.

My thoughts on possible scenarios:

1. WAC taking a time to regroup and continue adjudicating cases

2. WAC adjuticating other cases (older or newer), putting these ranges on hold

3. WAC decided to completely forget about I-751s now that 48 month extensions were announced

4. There is an IT issue affecting their ability to adjudicate cases

Will try watching it closely for few days.

If no movement in mid March (for any cases in these ranges), I will consider filing N-400.

I've started thinking about the 3d scenario today. I know it's the worst-case one but given that they've just came up with 48 month extensions it's very possible. When they are approving everything is going too slow, too.

I do wonder if they are trying to knock out the entire N400 backlog and have decided to slow down I-751s in the interim (as you say, as a result of the 48 month extensions).

The stats from the last quarter of FY 2022 certainly make it appear they are rapidly reducing the N-400 backlog.  I-751s are easy money for no effort on their part.  Many people are filing both the I-751 fee and the N-400 fee before any processing is done.  That means they sit for years.  We all deserve better.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I've submitted my N-400 application today. I honestly don't have any faith in getting my case approved anytime soon.
