Really you can request that ? 🤔 thank you for letting me know. Wonder when will i have to submit that request letter..i dont want to mess up which is already submitted online bcz i read it says if you will submit additional document afterwards it might delay processing.

I will research about it more. Thank you again for letting me know :)

You bet.   I  am not sure how best to request it, but hopefully one of the others knows.   I think it’s definitely worth doing, that way the LFO can have it sent to them prior to your interview.

I don’t think it would delay or impact processing, as you wouldn’t be submitting new evidence.

@Crazy Cat’s wife recently interviewed and was approved, and I believe they requested in writing to have a combo interview?   Or perhaps that was @Mike E?   Definitely worth a try!

We requested a combo interview.  Did it help?  I'm not sure.  But, it certainly didn't hurt since it was a combo...LOL.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

One way is to include the cover letter with your N-400 application when you file. In cover letter mention pending I-751 and ask for combo interview. Also include copy of I-751 receipt.

I uploaded a business style letter to USCIS under the unsolicited evidence area along with tax transcripts, etc.

I would do that, but would love to hear opinion of somebody who's done it already.

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate the help :) I will wait to hear from others too.

My only worry in doing this is that i hope it wont impact anything in negative way..or they will reschedule or something like that.

It's hard to tell what effect it may have.

Sure, this may delay N-400 interview, but would you want to have N-400 conducted to only wait longer for I-751 approval? At least there is a possibility of USCIS honoring it and performing combo interview. Could requesting combo interview derail I-751 from it's track towards waived interview? Sure. But nobody knows upfront whether I-751 is going to be approved without interview or require one, whether it's going to be approved before N-400 interview, at the combo interview or after.

I uploaded the letter when my wife submitted her N-400 (same afternoon).

N-400 application submitted Aug 7, 2022

Interview scheduled on Nov 10, 2022 (for Dec 14, 2022)

A few days before the interview, I received an email stating that it was mandatory for me to be there since it would be a combo interview.

No status change on the I-751 until a day after the interview.

WAC. There were surprisingly a lot of RFEs and approvals in 20500-21000 range yesterday. Hoping for more movement in 21500 and up soon!
