Nov. 2021 ROC filer, but tired of waiting for interview date, so I'm thinking of filing N-400 while I-751 is still pending. Do you guys recommend I file online or paper? Any difference/preference? Also is there a field where I need to mention that I'm waiting on ROC interview? Thx

Hello all,

Question for applicants in Houston, TX.

Has anyone who was initially scheduled for an I-751 biometric appointment at the Houston ASC office  (on Highway 6 South, Sugarland TX ) had to reschedule their appointment?

Missed the first biometric appointment and tried to walk in but they didn’t allow, so called USCIS on 11/25/2022 to reschedule.

Received an email from USCIS on 12/5/2022 that request has been placed in rescheduling queue.

I’m curious how long the wait is to get a new appointment date?

What was the timeline from when they placed you back in the rescheduling queue to when you received the appointment letter in the mail to the new appointment date?

Thank you.

Timeline:

Receipt number: SRC**********

Priority date: 11/26/2021

Transferred to NBC: 2/17/2022

Biometrics appointment: 11/22/2022 (Missed the appointment)… waiting to be rescheduled.

I woke up today with a pleasant surprise. My card us being produced. WaC, early Nov filer ❤️

Congrats! I'm mid Nov WAC center and still nothing :( Hope to wake up to a nice surprise like that soon! I wonder why do they skip over certain cases and start working on the ones that were filed like a month later? I still see many in the 16,000 - 18,000 still not approved.

I bet a lot of people have the same question here.

I believe some of this is simply explained by the fact cases go to different people for review/approval. It doesn't matter if 2 different cases were filed 5 minutes apart, if they go to different people they will be reviewed at different speeds.

However, I don't understand the disparity between one person getting approved in 2 months and another taking 2+ years when there's no extenuating circumstance that explains it.

SRC also seems to just be doing barely anything lately, at least for ROC.

We just got the good news that our GC is being produced.  We are WAC with a 11/22/21 NOA1 date. 🥳🎉🙌

Congratulations! You're giving me hope :) My NOA1 is 11/24/21. Is your case number before or after 21499?

Thank you!  We are before that in the upper part of the 20500-20999 range.

Good luck, I’m sure you’re close 🤞

maybe EAC, SRC, NBC, LIN filers should sue WAC and slow them down or send some cases there so these places speed up. This is just ridiculous that filers at one center are getting such a speedy response and the rest of us are languishing.
