Did anyone at California Service Center receive a biometric waiver letter? I read October's thread and quite a few people with WAC case number got theirs last month even though they didn't update a spreadsheet information.

We're moving to a new apartment on March 1st. Hoping to get it before and not stressing out about possibly missing the letter.

Nope, no updates on our case after the NOA/extension letter.

I received my physical waiver biometric letter however my online status has not been updated yet. Should i carry this biometric letter along with my 2 year extension notice as i travel outside the country? Anyone else in the same boat?

I just returned to the US from international travel. I already have my physical biometric waiver letter but didn't think to take it with me so I left it at home and I was fine without it. I showed my expired green card, the extension letter and my passport.

I recommend you allow some extra time for them to review these as I couldn't check in for my flight online** and almost missed my flight out of New York. I had to wait in a long line to get my boarding pass - the airline rep was very confused by the paper extension letter so I had to wait for his manager to come and look at it - cue round three of a long wait. It seemed they hadn't seen this piece of paper/extension letter before (they were holding it up to the light etc.). Not a huge deal as I guess we're more concerned about being allowed back into the US!

When I flew back to New York yesterday, it was a breeze (I have global entry so not sure how that effects things). Side note, the immigration officer at JFK looked at my extension letter and said "24 months?! It used to be 12 to process! What a joke, what are they doing over there?!" *preach*

**On my return journey, I decided to try check-in again online via the airline app and it dawned on me that in the green card expiration date part of the check-in form, I could technically put 2024 as the year of expiration and voila, it worked!

ugh.. starting to get impatient lol. We're Texas service centers filers and our NOA1 is dated 11/27 but I still haven't heard anything on the biometrics.. I was hoping since a few of you SRC filers heard a few weeks ago, we'd be next but nothing yet

Oh I thought you guys got it too! :( What about the online status?  You probably check it daily but never know. Our online status changed last week only dated with January 19th but the letter about the biometrics came about a month ago.

Nope, didn't get ours yet and we are moving next month as well. I think with mail forwarding you have nothing to worry about...I believe there is also a place to update on uscis I did that before for my husband's k1 and we got whatever notice it was at the new address.

has anyone looked into traveling out of country during covid? my wife wants to go back to thailand so her friends and family can meet our daughter.

lots of holes to jump through it seems

Yes my husband and I have both traveled at separate times during Covid and he is traveling again tomorrow internationally. Usually you just have to get negative covid tests before and after but I would check Thailand's restrictions. Some countries have quarantine or different visas then normal. United has a travel map that is linked at the top of their website that usually has pretty accurate information. https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/travel/restrictions-map.html

On the way back to the US, it says my husband does need to show both proof of vaccination AND a negative covid test because he isn't a citizen yet. I have other US friends come back here and they just needed the test.

No, unfortunately no update on the online status   and we haven’t gotten anything in the mail either. I imagine our application at the bottom of a pile on someone’s desk that’s been forgotten lol. I guess it doesn’t really matter since we have the extension letter but still, would be nice to see some movement

We finally got our notice this week, unfortunately they won't be reusing my biometrics so I have to go in in a couple of weeks to take them again. But I'm glad that there was some movement at least

Ugh I don't understand why don't they just reuse your biometrics just like they do for most of us. But yeah, you're right, at least there's a movement.

Yeah I’d be curious to know their criteria for reusing them vs not too.. hopefully things are smooth sailing from here on out at least

Anyone have any kind of update from California center? Filed and didn't hear anything since then. no biometrics, no waiver letter.

The October thread reported an update about 2 weeks ago.  If things remain on track we should hear something in 2 more weeks.

Ugh. Today was husband's biometric appt and we had forgotten it was today! How screwed is he? He's going to go there tomorrow and ask if he can reschedule or somehow get squeezed in. Anyone have any experience with missing their biometric appt?

Based on what I have heard in other threads, the best option is to go to the center and attempt to do a walk in.   The chances of success are higher than failure.
