Informed Delivery shows my hard copy letter in the mail today, so I would expect anyone else who had an update online last week will likely receive their letter this week as well.

Did you get the NOA about the biometric waiver? We still haven't received ours...

Today we have received the hard copy of the biometrics waiver. However, it was sent on a regular A4 white paper, not on a thicker greenish color paper. Is that normal? All of my previous USCIS letters were printed on a thicker greenish paper. As I posted earlier, the online update shows on January 19, 2022 fingerprints were waived.

Assuming your wife has received the 24 month extension, you can travel outside the USA.  Not sure about the COVID restrictions in Thailand, but to return to the USA you will need a COVID negative test (PCR or antigen) taken the day before you embark on your return trip.  As usual, don't stay out of the USA for more than 6 months with a green card

They don't use the fancy paper for some of the more routine notices.

I received my physical waiver biometric letter however my online status has not been updated yet. Should i carry this biometric letter along with my 2 year extension notice as i travel outside the country? Anyone else in the same boat?

I also received my physical biometric waiver letter but my online status never changed.

When I left the country for Christmas, I brought my 2 year extension letter and the biometric waiver letter out of precaution - I think I was being overly cautious about it though. It doesn't hurt to bring the biometric waiver letter if it makes you feel better having it, but I don't believe it's required.

What’s a biometric waiver?  Are we going to get one too?

Thank you so much, everyone!

It;s just that USCIS is reusing biometrics previously taken, for example, in the AOS.

They will still  send fingerprints and pictures to the FBI, but the PR will not have to go and take them again.

Chances are you will also get one
